Curtis began publishing 8vo size botanicals in 1787 in an annual "magazine" which was illustrated with these hand-colored engravings of various flowers and plants. They are now the the most well known series of all the small botanicals in the print world.

The most desirable of the "Botanical Magazine" prints are the earliest years, from 1787 - 1800. The majority of our inventory of the Curtis botanicals come from these early publications from the 1790's.
